I do hope you are
finding the new kerbside collection of plastic milk bottles, and plastic drink
bottles of benefit. No more gathering
them to bring to our bins!!
We now plan to use the
two redundant bins at the side of the church hall for the collection of soft
plastic. During a three month trial we will
monitor how well this is used. You will
find that we have put a notice on each of the bins – the blue-lidded bin is for
COLOURED soft plastic, that is stretchy plastic that has any colour on it at
all, even the tiny line of black printing you often see on some pieces.
The second bin – the
metal one – is for COLOURLESS soft plastic, free of any kind of printing. As you know all the plastic we collect must
be free of sticky tape, labels, or anything that would contaminate it when it
is processed.
