The Church Guild
Due to the forthcoming Church Union the three Guilds will become one, the Scone and St Martins Parish Church Guild. Initially the Guild is being run by a leadership team comprised of three former Presidents, Evelyn Thomson, Margaret McMillan and Helen Stewart. They will be supported by a committee and office bearers drawn from all three Guilds and a syllabus will be drawn up for the New Guild Session commencing 20th September. SCONE AND ST MARTINS GUILDS.
At a committee meeting this month, the joint committee unanimously agreed to work together to provide the united guilds with the syllabus already agreed for this year.
The pattern of meetings will be fortnightly alternating between 2.30 pm and 7.30 pm on Tuesdays, with all afternoon meetings being held in the Balformo Road hall and the intervening evening meetings alternating between both halls. On a Tuesday when there is an afternoon meeting there will also be an evening meeting in Burnside Hall.
In a break with tradition our Guild Dedication will be part of our first meeting and our Presbytery Convener, Alison M`Gregor has agreed to be involved in this with us.
